Flights to Dakar’s new Blaise Diagne International Airport (airport code DSS) on Thursday, December 7. The first flight departed OR Tambo at 19h00 and landed in Dakar at 01h20 on Friday morning.
Delta and Royal Air Maroc Airlines, have also made the switch to the airport.
There are lounges for premium-class customers and frequent flyers and there are restaurants and duty-free shops at the airport. 20 passport control areas are based in the arrivals and departures terminal, and 44 check-in counters for international and domestic passengers.
Blaise Diagne is 40km outside Dakar, and travellers are advised to allow additional time for trips to and from the airport.
