Was the R299 fare a good deal?
At the time, the R299 one-way fare represented a low promotional price for the Johannesburg–Durban route. Because the offer applied to one-way flights, travellers still needed to compare the return fare and any baggage or other extras before judging the total trip cost.
Original Promotion Terms
The original terms stated that fares were based on one-way travel, included 7 kg hand luggage and airport taxes, and were subject to availability. Checked baggage was charged separately. Limited seats were available on selected flights, and special events, long weekends and peak flights could be excluded.
