There has been a 20% drop in UK hotel rooms due to new data compared the rates of the third quarter in 2015 to those in the same period this year and all major cities in the UK.

The hotels in Cardiff with its 20% decrease of £95 (R1 686) compared to London with a 14% decrease with an average night’s stay at £153 (R2 716).

These major falls in the UK’s hotel industry will result in more attractive and cost-effective destination for foreign business and leisure travellers in the months to come.

Europe prices steadily rose, while London dropped from pole position the most expensive hotel rate in Europe to second. Zurich takes the lead £160 (R2 840) and Copenhagen comes in third at £152 (R2 698).
